Privacy Policy
Counselling depends on confidentiality. This explains exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and the control you have over it.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email, optional phone number and timezone), the sessions you book, and anything you choose to write in the app — journal entries, mood check-ins, messages to your counsellor and intake answers.
Card details are never stored by Rekilive. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we only keep a payment reference and amount.
Who can see it
Your journal entries, mood check-ins and AI reflections are private to you. Your counsellor cannot read them.
Your counsellor can see what is needed to provide care: your name and contact details, your bookings, your intake answers and any messages you send them.
How it is protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access rules are enforced at the database level so one client's records can never be reached by another.
Video sessions are peer-to-peer encrypted and are never recorded.
How long we keep it
You can pause your account at any time, or delete it permanently from Account settings. Deleting removes your personal data, journal, mood history and messages.
Financial records are kept in a pseudonymised form for the period required by UK tax law. They contain no notes and no personal content.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
